"Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods" Release Imminent!!

After 17 Years - It's Backl!
It’s almost here! We’re now but days away from the release of “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods.” Eighteen years have passed since the series ceased its serialization, but Dragon Ball is a masterpiece of a series that never grows old. It has also been 17 years since a feature length movie from the series has been released, so I’m sure many a fan have been waiting for this moment for quite some time. In a first for the Dragon Ball feature films, series creator, Toriyama Akira, was actually involved in the planning of this installment from the very early stages and I personally cannot wait to see it!
The plot follows on from the original storyline but is also a completely original story in itself. The story goes: Bills, the God of Destruction, awakens from a long slumber to learn that the once galactic overlord, Frieza, has been defeated by the Sayan, Goku. Bills then travels to Earth to seek out Goku and challenge him to a battle. However, as it becomes apparent that Bills’ power is far too great for Goku or any of the other Z-fighters to match, the fate of the world hangs in the balance.
“Battle of Gods” will be released around Japan on March 30, and also internationally, in selected regions around the world.
As for Dragon Ball’s foray into international markets to date, the anime series has been broadcast in over 40 countries and the manga published in over 20 countries. A “Kamehameha” contest was even held at a Japanese pop culture event event in New Zealand in 2001 called “Armageddon Expo”! Such is the global popularity of this series! And it looks like Japan will be recreating a similar contest of their own at a special event to celebrate the release of this latest installment in the Dragon Ball series.
To celebrate the screening of “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” and the revival of the Dragon Ball series, there will be a countdown event held at TJoy cinema in Hakata (and possibly other venues around Japan), where a selection of the best feature films in the series to date will also be screened consecutively!
Kicking off the movie marathon will be “Battle of Gods” at the stroke of midnight. In addition, a further 5 films in the Dragon Ball series have been selected to be screened following “Battle of Gods.” If you will be attending the event make sure you practice your ‘kamehameha’ skills in advance because a “Kamehameha contest” will also feature in the night’s proceedings!
