A huge commercial complex called Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport FUKUOKA opened on 25th April 2022. The Fukuoka-based attraction is just about a 9-minute walk from JR Takeshita Station. It's only one stop away from JR Hakata Station, so it is easily accessible for visitors. People entering the site via LaLaport's Forest Park Entrance will be greeted by an imposing GUNDAM figure. This massive full-scale model is the tallest GUNDAM statue ever created! A total of 222 stores are currently operating inside the 5-story building (*correct at time of publication). The "Food Marche" consists of approximately 20 shops. It is well worth checking out if you are looking to enjoy some local Fukuoka and Kyushu dishes and products!

And that is not all... There is so much to enjoy during a trip to LaLaport! You can have fun in GUNDAM PARK FUKUOKA, which is the first interactive facility of its kind to pop up in Japan. There is also a "wood-based learning" space called the Fukuoka Toy Museum that evokes warm feelings of nature. "KidZania Fukuoka" is set to open inside the complex at the end of July 2022. This will give children the opportunity to try their hand at different professions and experience the world of work in a fun setting. There are nine open spaces dotted around the complex. These plazas are home to cool facilities, such as football fields. One of the areas known as "Agri Park" presents the public with a chance to farm on allotments or enjoy a barbecue! There are some awesome dining options at the Lalaport FUKUOKA complex. "Food Marche" is a collection of easily accessible shops (approximately 20 in total) located on the first floor. Alternatively, you can head up to "GRAND DINING" on the third floor for even more choices of places to eat (31 in total). GRAND DINING has a combined seating capacity of approximately 1450, making it one of the largest food courts in Kyushu! You'll also find food company Kubara Honke just beside the Oval Park open space in the center of the complex. This is one of its largest flagship stores!
