It looks very yummy! "meat-shaped stone"

National Palace Museum is in Taipei, Taiwan. In this museum are a collection of over 700,000 carefully-selected artifacts from the Chinese imperial dynasty. It has gained a popularity such that this selection of fine relics has become a tourist destination in and of iteslf. This special exhibition is a first for Asia. The collection is scheduled to tour only the Tokyo and Kyushu National Museums, with some of the displays being available only in Kyushu.
The "meat-shaped stone" is a highly valuable artifact, which only resurfaces on special occasions is one of the two main attractions at the National Palace Museum, Taipei, the "Jadeite Cabbage" being the other, which was on display at the Tokyo National Museum. Utilizing the natural stripes inherent in the stone, a dying technique to create the illusion of meat and fat that has the look of being soaked in a brown colored broth. It will be briefly on exhibition only at the Kyushu National Museum from Tuesday, October 7th to Monday, October 20th, for a period of 14 days.
Aside from the "Jadeite Cabbage" and "meat-shaped stone," asianbeat also recommends you check out the character-like "Man and Bear," with the comical 1:3 head to body ratio. It has been carved into natural rock that was both white and black, with the man being sculpted into the white portion and the bear into black. There are a number of antiques besides these that won't be re-emerging for the next few years even in Taipei, so don't miss this great opportunity! (Editorial Dep't.: Haomei)
