Amazed by the spectacular Kokura Castle! Been to Miyajidake Shrine too!

ERIKA ERIKA: The second day in Fukuoka is a trip to Kitakyushu! After having an enjoyable time at Aruaru City where you can find various shops specializing in Japanese subcultures, such as anime, manga, games, and idols, we got ourselves ready to see the spectacular Kokura Castle. In the afternoon, we went to Fukutsu City to try the delicious Tai-chazuke (sea bream on rice with tea), and also tried painting the cute traditional item, Moma whistle (moma-bue)! Then, we set off to the long-awaited visit at Miyajidake Jinja (Shrine), where we couldn't be more impressed by anything than the shimenawa which is said to be the largest in Japan!

Playing the crane game and "Taiko no Tatsujin" (rhythm game) for the first time in a while. We'd so much fun♪

There was a photo spot of great three-dimensional trick art at the entrance! The pose and angle are perfect, right?

It was nice to walk around the elegant Kokura Castle!

The Tai-chazuke dish served with hot soup stock and rice topped with pickled sea bream. I tried eating with various side dishes too, such as mentaiko, shredded kamaboko, yuzu kosho, and kara miso! Mmm, delicious!

　Tsuyazaki Sengen Nagomi / 津屋崎千軒なごみ (Moma-bue Painting Workshop)

The traditional Moma whistle in the shape of a cute owl. You can enjoy painting it and bring back as a souvenir!

　Miyajidake Jinja / 宮地嶽神社

The "Path of Light" that extends straight from the shrine to the coast can only be seen a few times a year. It's surprisingly beautiful and has become a hot topic all over Japan!

The chozuya (where people usually clean their hands) was full of colourful floating flowers when we visited the shrine♪
