Questions for Mont Blanc Pictures Mr. Hirata

I have been involved in everything from the birth of the project, production, to distribution (promotion) in coordination with the director Takekiyo and distributor T JOY.

Procuring funding and promotion running up to the release was difficult.

The quality of the CG makes it seem like it wasn’t made in Japan. Also the little gags that are inserted all over the film.

It’s not like we decided to do it that way, just that we got cooperation from a number of countries and it fell into place.

I think there is a definite market out there. You just need the courage to cross the seas.

When I was preparing for the film’s release it gradually dawned on me.

From the business perspective, the cinema release is not the goal, but the starting point. As a movie there is the secondary release (DVD package, goods etc) as well as the creation of various content featuring the characters in the movie. I would like to expand this business, and of course make a sequel.
