The set meals in "OBON de GOHAN" are served with a main dish accompanied by rice, small sides and miso soup. Mains include fish, meat, as well as vegetable dishes, with guests also able to select their favorite sides from a choice of over 20 options. There is not a huge range of choice, but the food is simple, easy to enjoy and a lot of thought has gone into ensuring that the meals served are nutritionally balanced, so you'll usually see a queue of people waiting to get inside! With natural sunlight flooding into the restaurant through the huge glass windows, time slipped away as we relaxed and enjoyed the surroundings.


This time we chose a meat dish and a fish dish with some sides to accompany them. Both sets were exquisite!

"鶏の黒ごま七味焼き" Tori no Kuro-goma Shichimi Yaki (lit.: Chicken cooked in black sesame and a blend of seven spices)

"びんちょうまぐろのレアカツ おろしぽん酢" (Bincho Maguro no Rare Katsu Oroshi Ponzu) (lit.: rare cooked Albacore tuna crumbed then fried and served with grated ponzu)
