My Kawaii 1. My Lovely Lolita day
"Lolita day" is a Lolita-based event that I put together with my friends. It's a tradition dating back to the year 2007.
We hold these between 2 to 3 times a year and it basically consists of an exhibition of some of the clothes and products we have on sale alongside a tea party. The most recent Lolita party we threw was on May 4th before the ensuing summer season set in, and was our 16th one. We held it at the well-known cafe in Jongo District called "BanJul."
The owner of "BanJul" is actually a harp player and said that they like Lolita too, which is part of the reason we always try to rent out this space to put together a nice event. I am very grateful.
I wore my newest design from my line "Baroque" that has yet to be released to the latest Lolita Day event. In it I used a rose-colored base with golden chairs and stripes patterned over it - it's an original design! I don't wear a lot of red but am glad that it looked a lot better than I had expected it would.

This time, we did not have much time but prepared items such as the latest sailor dress, head items, lace socks, necklaces, and even underwear, such as panniers and bloomers. I had a really hard time with carrying everything there, but on my way home I went back empty-handed. Not only did my body feel light but so did my spirit as I made the trek home.

Each of our events gathers over 100 guests. Sometimes we get up to even 200 Lolita girls. Customers can directly buy the Indies-shop items we have out on display at our events. After the party is finished, occasionally we will have a tea party. (Last time we were able to enjoy a harp concert.)
Please take a look for yourself below to see the venue and just how much everyone enjoyed the event!

I plan everything from managing the small details to the big and scheduling dates.
I'm friends with Akira, who was also previously introduced on the asianbeat website. We often work together on Lolita Day.
I find the harder it is to plan, the better the event turns out. We are planning on doing another one of these events this autumn. Please pray that it'll turn out well!
