The only place in Fukuoka to be included in the Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots!

Nishi Park
Nishi Park is famous for cherry blossom viewing spot in Fukuoka. Located on a small hill protruding to Port of Hakata, there are about 1,300 cherry blossom trees in the park, such as Someiyoshino Trees and Yamazakura (Prunus jamasakura), coloring the area with subtle shades of pink. Its beauty makes it the only one place in the prefecture to be selected as one of the Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Spots. If you pay a visit to Terumo Shrine on the summit, you will be able to overlook Port of Hakata and Shikanoshima Island from the central observatory when the weather is good. It is also famous as a hiking trail as there is a promenade where you can fully enjoy the greenery of the park!
