"Chibimaruko chan"(author: Momoko Sakura) is a heartwarming comedy anime that unfolds between Momoko Sakura with her friends in Shimizu Ward,Shizuoka City,1974.

When We watch standard tv programs on Sunday evening, It is trend to see "Syouten" at first and "Chibimaruko chan". This trend has always consecutive high television ratings! I remember I listen the story of "syoten" in some way even I can't get it so much and feel something sad with this last Sunday then after that show We see "Chibimaruko chan" and long for morning of Monday to talk about "Chibimaruko chan" When I was child.
It started to be published as manga comic from 1986 in lady comic"Ribon". In fact, anime broadcasting on tv started since 1990 and it has passed over 20 years. There is fact to surprise us that Maruko-chan has kept main character except from September 1992 to January 1995 of second season.

The story returns to program rating data,in October 28, 1990, volume of "maru-chan do an experiment" got the record 39.9% program rating!!This record has not broken as successive generation yet.
This number exceeded easily compared with "Ryouma-den"'s best program rating of NHK program.In this connection,the second place of successive program rating is "sazae-san"(39.4％／September 16,1979),The third place is " Dr Slump Arale-chan"(36.9％／December 16,1981).
