Doul(2/2)
Previous | Next

Check the "Doul band" in the music video, with me playing 5 characters!

Q.: What do you think is important when making music?
I think it's to be yourself, and not changing your expression wherever you go. This is why I prefer writing in English, as I can share with more people.
Q.: What's the song that you'd introduce to new listeners?
"The Time Has Come" which was released in March! In the music video, I play 5 different persons that form a band and dress as rock legend or in Harajuku Kawaii style! You'll see many different sides of Doul, so please check!

Q.: What's your best karaoke song?
I like 80's rock the most. I like 60's AC/DC too, and I'll always sing "NIRVANA" and "Rihanna".
Q.: What do you like to use during music activities?
Acoustic guitar.
Q.: What are you into now?
Chinese soba from "Tsukiya", styles like denim on denim, and Nike sneakers! Since the Doul's brand, "Doo (ドゥ)" has opened an online store, I want to put more effort in it. Right now I only have men's long T-shirts and hoodies, which I edited and printed the images. But I hope to create more unique items that make people go in between "No one would wear this except Doul" and "Maybe I can wear this...?" (LOL)
Q.: What are your favourite things or places in Fukuoka?
What I'd want to introduce to people overseas is definitely "Mentai-ju" that comes with a sack of mentaiko on the rice! I'm sure they'll be surprised by the look! I think my favourite place will be Seiryu Park which is in front of Canal City Hakata. I'll sit on the riverside to enjoy the wind or just look at the waterside. Other than this, Kego Park and Hakata Station, where I used to do street live a lot, are places full of memories too.

Q.: Can you tell us about your upcoming plans?
I want to let more people know who is Doul, so I'll continue to write more and more songs! I also wish that I could do live shows in front of people! Please follow Doul on social media to find out the upcoming schedules and latest updates!
Q.: Finally, what would you like to say to asianbeat readers?
I really wish to show you the "real Doul" in person as soon as possible! I'll definitely plan live shows in Asia, so please come and have fun together! But before that, I'd be very happy if you follow me on social media!
