Many have lost their lives in the damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami in the Sulawesi Islands, Indonesia in September 28th of last month. A donation box has been set up at the Fukuoka Prefectural Government Office to collect donations. In Fukuoka Prefecture, there are over 1,200 residents from Indonesia. There are also former students who studied in Fukuoka and Fukuoka native people who might be affected from this disaster. We give our thoughts and prayers to those affected in the disaster and hope for a fast recovery and restoration.
