The meeting was held concurrently with Comiket Special 6 – Otaku Summit 2015, at Makuhari Messe on March 28-29, and interested parties from various other domestic and international events were there to witness our inauguration. Organizers and related parties of otaku events from U.S.A., Russia, China, Europe, South America, Southeast Asia and Japan gathered in the meeting room of the Makuhari hotel.
The establishment of the IOEA may seem small, but it represents a glimmer of hope and an important step towards a brighter future for the entire world.

After establishing the IOEA, artists from various industries took to social media to give their support, including fellow cultural diplomacy advocators, Misako Aoki, Haruna Iikubo (Morning Musume。’15), Sumire Uesaka, and Hironobu Kageyama, as well various manga artists, anime directors and a whole range of other artists. I’m truly grateful.
