Multilingual pop-culture website, asianbeat; manga, illustration and novel posting site, DreamTribe; and Kitakyushu subculture hotspot for manga artists and illustrators alike, The Kitakyushu Manga Museum, are banning together to sponsor a manga based cultural exchange known as the “4koma Manga Contest,” in hopes of deepening mutual understanding among young people overseas.

- Grand Prize
100,000 Yen & gift (for producing manga) (1 work selected)
Judges will choose the piece that they find to be most interesting and unique.
*The winner will be determined by the review comittee.

- For outside Japan
30,000 Yen, a pack of Fukuoka Goods & gift (for producing manga) (1 work selected)
This award is for the piece that gets the most votes from outside of Japan.
*The winner will be determined by number of votes over the web.

- Fukuoka Award
30,000 Yen, a pack of Fukuoka Goods & gift (for producing manga) (1 work selected)
Judges will choose the piece relating to Fukuoka that they find most interesting.
*The winner will be determined by the review comittee.

- Kitakyushu Manga Museum Award
30,000 Yen & Museum goods & gift (for producing manga) (1 work selected)
Judges will choose the piece they find to be most skillfully done 4koma manga.
*Selected by examination of the president of Kitakyushu Manga Museum.

- asianbeat Award
30,000 Yen & asianbeat goods & gift (for producing manga) (1 work selected)
This award will go to the piece that gets the highest number of votes. (Any works that have already won another prize will be excluded.)
*The winner will be determined by number of votes over the web.

(4) < Second Screening (Online Voting & Voting at the Kitakyushu Manga Museum) >
January 28th, (Thursday), 2016 to February 28th, (Sunday) 2016　
* Entries that have passed the preliminary screening will then be voted for on the asianbeat website and at the Kitakyushu Museum 6th floor Reading Zone.

(5) Announcement of Prize Winners
March 4th, (Friday), 2016
* Winners will be announced via the asianbeat, Kitakyushu Manga Museum and DreamTribe websites.

(6) Popular works of art will be put on display under the name, "The Fourth Annual asianbeat 4Koma Manga Contest ."
