Fun and Fascinating Fukuoka Part1: Sazae-san Street, Dante Monument & Hard Rock Cafe(3/24)
Hard Rock CAFE FUKUOKA
Last but not least, for all the Rock n’ Roll fans out there: The Hard Rock Café.
Of the six of these restaurants/stores that can be found in Japan, one resides in the Momochi area of our very own Fukuoka! The Hard Rock Café name is renowned the world over, yet the only branches that can be found within the Asian region outside of Japan are: Beijing, Hong Kong, and Macau. On account of this, should you take someone from Korea or China here they will surely be very pleased.
Recently, there has been an influx in the number of youngsters from Southeast Asia frequenting the Hard Rock Café. Nowadays, Hard Rock Cafés are opening everywhere in Southeast Asia and there are even Hard Rock hotels in some of these countries, such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Currently, its recognition as a company and its value as a brand have gone up, and this has efficiently multiplied and attracted an increasing number of visitors from Southeast Asia.

In addition, if you take a look inside the restaurant, there are approximately 250 items set out on display from well-worn outfits to memorial albums and prized instruments that all were once favored by various musicians and artists.
Among these items, however, is John Lennon’s very own pen and pencil drawing from 1967 that is a definite ‘must see.’ Not only the young people of Asia, but also I, myself as a local was astonished by this amazing piece of artwork hung at the right side of the shop. Should you ever have the chance to visit, please don’t miss this one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
Additionally, Madonna’s jacket, Jimmy Hendrix’s shirt and other such prized possessions fill the walls.
