anno lab’s “A Tail of Space Time” Game Competition: Play as Hard as You Can! will be held at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum!

An interactive game competition will be held at the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum!
Fukuoka Asian Art Museum (FAAM) announces to hold an interactive game competition with an artwork created by anno lab, “A Tail of Space Time.” anno lab is an emerging media art creative team in Fukuoka, participating in “5th Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale” at the FAAM. “Fukuoka Asian Art Triennale” or “FT” is an international exhibition held every three years to introduce the most up-to-date trends in Asian contemporary art.
"A Tail of Space Time" is an interactive video installation based on physical principals. By touching centrally-placed pole of the installation, audiences are shown in their past and present guise, on the same screen. In this event, participants will compete for their unique ideas by playing with this cutting-edge artwork, which is capturing domestic as well as international audiences.
4 members of anno lab will be the judge of the competition. Alongside of the announcement of this event, a video clip introducing this game competition has been uploaded on anno lab official site!

A dance unit from Fukuoka called KADOXILE helped make the video clip. KADOXILE has been featured in TV commercials for big companies such as Coca-Cola and UNIQLO and is becoming nationally acknowledged with their unique "wotagei"dance style. A ballet dancer and Port-kun, an iconic Yuru-Chara for Hakata Port have been collaborating with the Triennale, also appears in the video.

How to participate in the “A Tail of Space Time” Game Competition: Play as Hard as You Can!

[Application Description]
There are two ways you can enter the competition:
1. Enter individually
Step 1: Start following anno lab on twitter (@annolab)
Step 2: Film yourself playing with the “A Tail of Space Time”and post it on websites, such as YouTube, Nico Nico Douga video web, or Instagram.
Step 3: Hashtag the video (#annocon) and tweet it. Now you have entered the competition!
*You will need a Twitter account and an account for a website such as YouTube to upload your video.
2. Participate in the one of the filming events by anno lab on Nov. 3 (Sat), 8 (Sat) or 15 (Sat). You do not have to post anything online. (The video will be filmed by anno lab.)

anno lab profile

anno lab is a creative group founded in 2012 by four individuals who all completed postgraduate studies at Kyushu University’s Graduate School of Design, Faculty of Design and School of Design: an arts researcher, animation artist, computer game developer and a former advertising agency professional. The group creates various works intended to satisfy viewers’ intellectual curiosity, from app development to events, interactive online projects and educational games designed for rehabilitation purposes.
