Interview Now - Kensho Ono (小野 賢章) - (2/2)

I have a feeling that a lot of my thoughts, dreams, and ideas spring to life of their own accord
Q: Of acting, voicing characters, and singing what is your favorite?
None in particular.
Q: As an "expressionist" [voice actor] what are your end goals?
In my opinion, acting, voice acting, and singing are not too different from one another in terms of representation. While singing may be slightly different, both voice acting and acting are in essence playing out a role - it's just a matter of whether the emphasis is on your voice or your body and facial expressions.
Q: What part of singing comes most naturally to you?
When I sing, I am doing so as Kensho Ono so all of what I am thinking and feeling naturally makes itself known.
Q: Do you have any plans to start writing your own music (lyrics)?
I definitely hope to do so one day but it's still a bit early to say. All this is still pretty new to me, so I've not yet fully familiarized myself with this enterprise; writing lyrics is definitely something that I would like to work toward, though.

I've used the experiences I've lived as inspiration for this new release

Q: On an unrelated note, you are originally from Fukuoka are you not?
Well, I suppose in a way it is my hometown in that my cousins and grandmother live here. I would often come down visit them during summer vacation when I was in elementary and junior high school.
Q: What's your favorite food in Fukuoka?
I'd have to say that would be ramen. I do also like yakitori, though!
Q: What is your current impression of Fukuoka?
I've always had a warm image of Fukuoka and was surprised at how cold it actually was. People of Fukuoka, please take care not to catch cold, ha ha.

Q: And finally, is there anything you would like to tell your fans?
It's the first time I've been able to release a song under my own name and while there is a lot that I still have to experience, I've heavily poured what little I've learned in life into this new song. I think most people will be able to relate and I created the song in hopes of being able to inspire and get you through the rough times. I hope all of you will have a chance to listen and thank you for your support. From here on out I want to move ahead with full force as both the (voice) actor and [musical] artist Kensho Ono and strike the perfect balance between these two crossing career paths. I hope to do so at my own pace so as to put my whole being into it.
