Liu Wei (Asian Youth Cultural Ambassador, Shanghai)
This year asianbeat celebrates its 10th anniversary, I am so happy! Time really flies doesn't it? Looking back ten years ago, I recall my trip to Japan and Fukuoka, as a representative of the young people of China and in the anticipation my heart being full of excitement. Even now I can clearly remember being warmly welcomed by asianbeat staff and participating in events, such as visiting schools and businesses.
I work in fashion education and I teach students about the cultures related to fashion. I think that in fashion there are no national barriers, and I would like to build a friendship between China and Japan through fashion. Fashion has a big role to play as an important aspect of cultural exchange between the two countries. Culture, concerning the fashion of China and Japan, has a profound and long history. I believe that asianbeat introduces culture in a number of ways through cultural exchange, and promotes further friendship and cooperation between the two countries for years to come.
