[Feature] Fukuoka Manhole Guide (List of Manholes and background information)(28/52)

    Dazaifu-shi [太宰府市]

    Dazaifu-shi
As soon as you mention Dazaifu, one of the first thing that comes to mind is the plum (ume) tree at Dazaifu Tenmangu. As is common with manhole covers, the flower of the city, in this case the "Plum Blossom," is featured. The symbol of the city is situated in the center of the design, with the words "Dazaifu-shi" and "Osui (Sewage)" written towards the bottom. (Sewage pipe manhole cover)

    Dazaifu-shi
This manhole cover features an array of "ume (plum)" flowers. There is no color, but the uneven surface gives the impression that design is depicting a mixture of white plum blossoms and red-blossomed plum tree flowers. (Sewage pipe manhole cover)
