KIHINKAN KYUU FUKUOKAKEN KOUKAIDO
Located in the Tenjin Chuo Koen (Central Park), the French Renaissance-inspired "KIHINKAN KYUU FUKUOKAKEN KOUKAIDO (Former Fukuoka Prefecture Public Hall Distinguished Guest House)" is a wooden-frame public building that was constructed in 1910. In the post war period, the building has served many purposes; it was used as the Fukuoka High Court, as well as a Prefectural Fisheries High School, before being designated as an important cultural asset in 1984. It not only boasts an elegant, refined exterior but also a beautiful interior that includes wonderful mantelpieces, as well as spaces to relax.
