This year’s Christmas illumination theme is “Santaful Christmas,” revolving around the original short story written by Tomoyuki Nakayama, titled “Santa Claus no Otetsudai.”The book has truly sprung to life and will make you feel as though you stepped into a picture book. Illustrated by Taniguchi Tomonori – who is currently active all across the world, many charming Santa Clauses will welcome you.

This year a 12 meter Fir tree has also made its appearance and been decorated in about 35,000 ornamental balls of all styles set in a soft, LED environment. The LED lights change color and twinkle brightly and their beauty is hard to capture in pictures.

This season many Christmas-related events will be held at the Elgala Passage Hiroba, so if you have the time please be sure to check it out!
