It was a marathon 3-hour concert, but that didn’t stop the 2500 attendees screaming out support for the performers from start to finish. It was also Ami Himesaki’s first time emceeing at such a big event. This is what she had to say about the events of that day:

“Comiket Special Live was the first event I’ve ever emceed at, and I was a ball of nerves from beginning to end.
Mahō Shōjo Over Age are incredible, there basically isn’t anyone who likes anison who doesn’t know Aki Hata – she’s a pretty much a god, I’ve loved angela since I was in elementary school, I started listening to Shoujobyou when I was in middle school, Sumire Uesaka is someone I really look up to right now, and I actually got to see the Last Boss, Sachiko Kobayashi, in person. I was so nervous and so excited that I have no idea what I said out there. It was like a dream and it was over before I knew it.
I got to meet all these amazing artists who I thought I would never get to meet, and I got to see them perform and emcee and I got to see how they move and behave up-close. It was truly wonderful and overwhelming and goose bump-inducing, and I’m thrilled that I got to experience it so close, and it was a great learning experience for me as well. It was really amazing.
Comiket Special Live was an unforgettable day for me and I would love to come back and emcee for the event again one day!”

Himesaki is just being modest; she was a great emcee.
The reason I wanted Himesaki to emcee together with me is because she’s not just an idol but a genuine otaku as well. She was singing Shoujobyou songs at karaoke from middle school, she loves all the anison that Aki Hata writes, she was on the verge of tears watching angela in the rehearsals, and she professed her love for Sumire Uesaka on stage in front of a huge audience. I thought Himesaki would be a good representative for the feelings of the audience, but she took it above and beyond.
