This column is read by people in more than 100 countries around the world. Here is a message from the girls for all their international fans.
Ogata I’m still yet to venture outside of Japan. I would love for my first visit overseas to be a concert performance. Until then, I want to brush up on my language skills so that I can greet people and introduce myself in all various languages. I want to do a concert in France, where my parents went on their honeymoon.”
Nonaka “I came back from the States 5 years ago and I haven’t been overseas since. I would love to go and do a concert somewhere. A concert in the US where I grew up would be amazing. I also want to try learning Chinese and French as well.”
Haga “The more I learn about various countries in geography at school, the more I want to visit them. I want to go to all sorts of places. I went to Taiwan a year and a half ago and everyone there was so nice and the night markets were really fun and I would love to go back and put on a concert to return the favor. I was too scared to try it the first time around, but the next time I go, I definitely want to try stinky tofu. I bet it’s actually really tasty.”
Makino “I love Disney World. I would love to do a concert at Disney World one day!”

Last day of tour for the 12th generation at the Budokan.
Morning Musume。’14 held a concert in New York and later Sayumi Michishige told me how happy she was that she got to do a live performance overseas with those members.
I’m always travelling around the world, so I know better than anyone just how desperately people everywhere want to see Morning Musume。’15 live in concert.
Since 2011, I’ve shown video letters from Morning Musume。 to audiences at a great many of my cultural diplomacy lectures overseas. Perhaps I should be calling it, “Morning Musume。 diplomacy.” Even now, I have a number of video letters in my possession, ready to play at my lectures this summer. It would be so great to see a Morning Musume。’15 concert with all the overseas fans that are genuinely thrilled by the video letters I play for them. That’s another important dream of mine.
