“The Evangelion and Katana (Japanese swords) Exhibition” is currently being held at Nishitetsu Hall in Fukuoka City.
The world of Eva makes a re-appearance with their new exhibition: “The Evangelion and Katana (Japanese swords) Exhibition.” It is currently being held at Nishitetsu Hall in Fukuoka City.(* Details Below)
In this exhibition, Japanese sword smiths make full use of their skill set and created and put on display the very same blades that made an appearance to the film: “Rebuild of Evangelion.” Not only can you be entertained by what the world of Evangelion has to offer, but you get a glimpse of something just as rare – the Katana(Japanese swords).
(* 'Rebuild of Evangelion’ : a sequel to the original ‘Neon Genesis Evangelion’ anime)

On behalf of those too far away to make it, our staff at asianbeat decided to have a poke around on the opening night and with the permission of the organizers took some pictures for you all to see! This is an interesting collaboration between the traditional Japanese katana (sword), which dates back from the samurai era and Japan’s original anime culture. Please have a look and enjoy our photos from this grand event.
