That's why I always love you Fukuoka by Zcongklod Bangyikhan #04 Yame – A town thriving on tradition, sake breweries and tea(2/5)
Shutei Gin no ka
This store has only been open for about a year. The first thing that attracted me to this store was its history. The building itself is an old Japanese-style house built roughly 100 years ago, and when you walk in, you’re immediately hit with that nostalgic atmosphere. The second point of attraction was its location right in front of the 190-year old “Kitaya” sake brewery. This restaurant has a great variety of Kitaya sake on offer and they even do banquet meals that pair sake with various local delicacies and vegetable dishes. For lunch they also do Japanese set menu meals using lots of fresh local ingredients. I recommend the mentaiko (seasoned cod roe) marinated in premium sake lees. Also try the sake lees soup.
