The world that is depicted in "BULLBUSTER" is quite different to previous robot-themed stories. Director Hiroyuki Nakao spoke to the audience about the work. He said, "There is a dramatic aspect to the story, which means that even people who have no interest in robots and science fiction will still be able to enjoy what is going on." Science fiction investigator Yuya Takashima also interacted with the crowd. He revealed an interesting story about getting a job request via Direct Message on Twitter!

Director Nakao has developed a strong fondness for Kitakyushu. His interest in the local area began while he was searching for locations to use as inspiration.
