[Special Feature] The 1st "MCPO AWARD 2017" - Report from the public screening of applicants works! (15/17)

The last work we will introduce here comes from Korea and has been created by 하제 (Haju). The skill of the artist is exquisite; you end up enthralled to the extent of almost getting lost in each frame of the story!

(Seguchi)"I am not a huge fan of atmospheric manga that is more or less just beautiful images. And to be honest, I think this is that kind of work, but it must have taken a tremendous amount of time and effort to draw these kinds of scenes. In the end I found myself overwhelmed by its quality and voted for it. "

(Minazuki) "I do not think that there are such strong transitions and connections in the development of the story. I think this goes for all works, but when creating a story, I think it is interesting to try to summarize the entire plot in four-frame (4koma) and see if you can still get the basic gist. The third and fourth frames are where interesting things tend to happen in manga, so make sure to really put a lot of effort into those sections of the story."

(Ueyama) "Four-frame manga strips are very important! Condensing everything down so that you can tell your story and entertain your reader in just four-frames… I think that people who want to become manga artists should definitely try to create these kind of four-frame strips. It's great practice and you can learn a lot, so please give it a go."
