With the application period running from November 2016 to February 2017, the "MCPO AWARD 2017" was open to illustrators and manga artists anywhere in the world. This was the first time that competition was held, but organizers were still flooded with applications, receiving a total of 5,534 pieces of work.* Here, asianbeat will introduce you to a few of the works that were chosen by the judges at the public screening to advance to the final selection stage! We will also be telling you more about the public screening of applicant’s works, as well as highlighting some of the insightful comments made by the esteemed individuals on the judging panel!
