Check-out out some of the pieces that caught the eye of the asianbeat team, along with the judges' feedback and advice. The theme and title of work below have been inspired by the beautiful fighting fish known as "betta." The image has a wonderfully magical quality!

Kubonouchi: This is a very good piece of artwork. This highly realistic image features a Western-looking person. It also has a sexy quality and depicts hazy fish swimming around the edge. When you attempt to achieve such a high level of realism, it can be hard to compete with what a photograph has to offer. So in that sense, I think I would like to have seen a bit more self-expression in certain areas.
