Kyushu National Museum (Access Information)

Train:
From Nishitetsu Fukuoka (Tenjin) Station take a train bound for Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station (Approximately 13 minutes by "tokkyu" or "limited express" and 17 minutes by "kyukou" or "express"), Nishitetsu Tenjin Omuta Line. Transfer to Nishitetsu Dazaifu Line and take a train bound for Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station (around 5 minutes).
Approximately a 10 minute walk from Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station.

JR
Approximately a 15 minute car/taxi ride from JR Futsukaichi Station.
-From the JR Hakata Station take a Train bound for JR Futsukaichi Station on the JR Kagoshima Line (around 15 minutes on a "kaisoku" or "rapid-service" train.)

Alight at JR Futsukaichi Station and head to Nishitetsu Futsukaichi Station (approximately 12 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by bus). Transfer to Nishitetsu Dazaifu Line and take a train bound for Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station (around 5 minutes).
Bus
At the Hakata Bus Terminal (Floor 1 Platform 11), take a bus bound for Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station (approximately 40 minutes). Approximately a 10 min walk after alighting at Nishitetsu Dazaifu Station.
Taxi
From JR Futsukaichi Station take a taxi direct to the Kyushu National Museum (around 15 minutes).
Alternatively, from Fukuoka Airport take a taxi direct to the Kyushu National Museum (around 30 minutes).
Car
Toll parking available. (limited spaces)
Using the Kyushu Expressway:
-From the Dazaifu interchange (I.C.) / Chikushino I.C. travel via the Takao Crossroads (about 20 minutes)
Using the Fukuoka Expressway:
-From the Mizuki Exit via the Takao Crossroads (about 20 minutes)

Admission (Cultural Exchange Exhibition)
Adults: 430 yen (220 yen)
College students: 130 yen (130 yen)

Admission to the Cultural Exchange Exhibition is free on the following days
- On May 18th "International Museum Day" (if May 18th falls on a day when the museum is closed, the next day will be free admission to the Cultural Exchange Exhibition instead), as well as “Keirou no Hi (Respect for the Aged Day)”
- "Bunka no Hi (Culture Day) is taken as a "Ryugaku-sei no Hi (International Student's Day)" and allows all international students to enter free of charge.
- To celebrate "Kazoku no Hi (Family Day)," the third Sunday of November allows for children (up to the age of junior high school students) and the person accompanying them to enter for free.
(This offer applies to a maximum of 2 people per family)
