Nakagawa-machi [那珂川町]

The Nakagawa River runs through the center of the town. This is where the town takes its name from. The river, alongside the town's tree, the "Myrica Rubra" (also known as the "Japanese Bayberry"), the flower of the town, the "Rhododendron," as well as the bird of Nakagawa-machi, the "Common kingfisher," are all featured in this sewage pipe manhole cover. The words "Nagakawa" and "Osui (sewage)" can also be seen along with the symbol of town. (Sewage pipe manhole cover)
