- O-Butsudan no Hasegawa Fukuoka...
O-Butsudan no Hasegawa Fukuoka Honten(6/14)
There are all kinds of candles on sale, including those that look like sweets as well as others that resemble drinks! Initially these kinds of candles were created so that offerings could be made at a butsudan, which would not decay or go rotten. But now, it seems that many people are buying them as presents and souvenirs!

Here you can see a selection of designs, including candles in the shape of kakigori (shaved ice), which is perfect for a hot summer, ramune (a type of carbonated drink sold in Japan) bottles, shochu (Japanese alcoholic beverages) and alcohol! The items sold are designed to match the season and time of year. For example during the winter months, you can find candles that resemble oden (a dish usually associated with winter).

Wagashi, coffee, green tea… There's a selection of candles shaped as all kinds of things! And they are so life like, they actually look delicious!
