Traditional Hakata crafts all in one exhibition! Photo report from "Fukuoka Yokamon Hiroba's" 5th project! (6/12)
These Hakata Koma (Spinning tops) can remain spinning in a stable position for quite some time!

This multi-layered Fukuoka glass is made by layering glass of various colors and differing properties. It's widely known by its nickname "Multi-Glass."

Hakata hasami. The materials and technique used to make the blade, along with the sharpness and functionality of the scissors, have received high praise.

Even today, Hakata Hariko (Papier Mache) is made with the same complex recipe and technique that has been used since long ago. It remains indispensable for creating items used for celebrations and festivals in Hakata, such as the "Niwaka-men" worn for Hakata Dontaku and the "Hime Daruma" used on Omisoka (New Year's Eve).
