Over the two days of October 25 and 26, Southeast Asia's premier game convention "GameStart 2014" was held at the Suntec Singapore Convention Centre, Singapore. The event attracted throngs of game fans from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Phillipines, Australia, America and Japan. Some visitors even started to gather at the venue the night before the opening and there were over 12,000 people who visited during the two-days event. 

At “GameStart 2014”, there were various booths and special activities for all to enjoy. The visitors could get a hands on look at unreleased game titles and also could check out game trials and demos from a wide range of genres. The tournament finals for Naruto, Gundam Extreme VS FB, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure and Soul Calibur were held and the highlight for street fighter fans was the finals of the Capcom Pro Tour Asia! “Retro DNA Section by Versus City” which offered classic game titles like Mario Kart and Bomber Man and the arcade machines so that game fans of all ages had a great time.

In addition, the world-famous cosplayer Yuegene Fay made an appearance at the "Cosplay Competition" as a guest cosplayer. The crowds enjoyed themselves to the fullest at the “GameStart 2014” with a wide range of games from the classics to the latest hits. The game industry in Southeast Asia is attracting attention from around the world in recent years. We’ve got to keep our eyes on the hot Singapore gaming scene!
