Following on from its first appearance on Japanese shores in 2014, ULTRA JAPAN 2015 made a welcome return to Tokyo. Held across three days, from 19-21st September 2015, the festival was back on an even bigger scale than last year! As expected, this year's line-up included all the biggest names out there, such as David Guetta, Alesso, Skrillex, DJ Snake, Nicky Romero, Armin Van Buuren, Afrojack and Fedde Le Grand. On the RESISTANCE stage, forerunners on the cutting edge underground dance scene were on the bill, with acts including Sasah, Sub Focus, Chase and Status, Pendulum, Nic Fanciulli and John Digweed.

This year saw a dramatic increase in the amount of people attending the festival, with other 90,000 visitors across the 3 days. The extended holiday from Silver Week (long Japanese holiday in September) meant that there was huge numbers of people in the crowds, not just from Tokyo, but from areas all over Japan, as well as from overseas. This was the second time that the festival has been held, and in terms of fashion, there was a wider range of people in attendance than last year, from people dressed in casual clothes, to those who were more-or-less in cosplay. You could really sense that this was an urban festival! Also when it came to the actual content of the event, each set list and each stage had variety, as well as its own style and flavor, which meant that even those fans who had only come to see the headliners on the main stage, also got to hear all the latest music releases, really adding value to their experience.
More than just a music festival, ULTRA JAPAN is really growing as a major entertainment event, which combines business and the arts. Its sure to keep going from strength to strength, so be sure not to take your eyes off it as it continues to develop!

Across the three days, the top-notch line-up included the biggest names from the world of trap and dubstep! Headline act Skrillex closed the show on the second day!
