The event's fifth anniversary theme is "Celebration"! The collection is sure to be a huge celebration of girls' culture!

"TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (TGC)" is set to return to Kitakyushu! This much-loved event always provides great insight into the most popular Japanese fashion trends! The fifth edition "takagi presents TGC KITAKYUSHU 2019 by TOKYO GIRLS COLLECTION (TGC Kitakyushu 2019)" will be held on Saturday 5th October in the West Japan General Exhibition Center Annex. A press conference was held on Wednesday 22nd May to promote the event. A special guest was on hand to make a guest appearance!

TGC is a fashion show that features approximately 100 popular models. During the event, they take to the runway to help showcase current fashion trends. Visitors can buy the clothes that they see the models wearing at the venue! Last year, TGC Kitakyushu welcomed about 13,200 guests... A new record! The event generated a great deal of publicity and had a big economic impact on the local area. Fukuoka Prefectural Vice Governor Hattori Seitaro was at the press conference. He said with a smile on his face, "We are seeing levels of excitement rise with each and every edition of TGC Kitakyushu." This is the fifth year of the event, which could prove a critical juncture. Kitakyushu City Mayor Kitahashi Kenji expressed his enthusiasm for the TGC. He said "Let's make sure this is a real 'celebration of girls' culture.'"

Araki Yuko, a model who is also active in dramas and movies, made a special guest appearance at the press conference! On the day of the event, Shinkawa Yua, Ikeda Miyu, Enosawa Manami, Niki, Okazaki Sae, and other guest models will strut their stuff on the runway. Ms Araki said, "People in Kitakyushu are full of energy. In comparison to other parts of the country, it's a city with a particularly strong sense of passion." She added, "Fukuoka is home to so many delicious dishes. I'm really looking forward to the food!"

TGC北九州

The event will feature a fashion show and lots of fun live performances by famous artists. There will also be a selection of booths set up by companies promoting hot new products and merchandise! This year marks the fifth time that the event has been staged. Five related projects will be taking place to commemorate the occasion, including a special fashion show featuring outfits created by local students. As we mentioned earlier, the theme for this year's event will be "Celebration!" So a festive mood is sure to be running throughout all the attractions and underpinning the entire day! Good times are guaranteed! The tickets sold out last year, so make sure to get them early this time round! Pre-release tickets will be available from Saturday 8th June. What is the Tokyo Girls Collection?

Since starting in August 2005, under the banner "Taking Japanese Girls Culture to the Rest of the World," this massive fashion festival has been held twice a year. Around 100 popular, distinctive Japanese models have appeared at the event, and starting with a fashion show that displays Japanese "real clothes," there is a huge range of attractions inside that are unique to TGC, such as live music from top artists, a special stage featuring some of the most in-demand guests, as well as booths where visitors can "touch and try" different items that are currently popular. The show has also garnered attention both domestically and from abroad, as it also operates as an E-commerce event, giving guests the chance to buy the clothes that the models are wearing on their mobile devices!
