1,259 entries from 26 countries/regions around the world!

The international 4-koma (4-frame) manga contest "Kitakyushu International Manga Competition" marks its 5th this year, and has gathered as many as 1,259 entries from 26 countries/regions around the world, which is said to have exceeded the total number in the previous contest! The contest is divided into 2 categories ― the "General Division" (no specific theme) and the "Junior Division" (with "running" as the theme). The award-winning creations was announced on Friday 4th December, after the strict screening carried out by Matsumoto Leiji, other Kitakyushu-related manga artists and judges. Although there will not be an award ceremony this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all 15 award-winning creations will be announced on the official website of the "Kitakyushu International Manga Competition". Besides, a selection of excellent works that have remained until the final screening are scheduled to be posted after Saturday 19th December, so please check them out!
