President Matsuyama encouraged aspiring manga artists to properly know their field, "What is it people in today's society are seeking? How many works are published each year in the manga industry? Where can you present your work? How profitable is it? Will you be able to feed yourself (and cover living costs) as a professional manga artist? It is important to really study the industry and clarify your goals." Koji Maki also spoke to the audience and gave some heartfelt words of wisdom to artists looking to break into the manga industry, "I want you to have the strength to be able to put your work out there for the world to see. I want you to believe in yourself and continue drawing."
