Nakasu
Both the "omote" (front side) and "mi-okuri" (sending-off side) of the kazariyama in Nakasu depict scenes from battles between key military figures of the Sengoku period. Being a lover of history this was a kazariyama I simply had to see!
"Omote" (front side") title: "Kassen Mikatagahara"
Here the float depicts a scene from the "Mikatagahara no tatakai" (Battle of Mikatagahara), which was fought between the joint forces of Ieyasu Tokugawa and Nobunaga Oda against the army of Shingen Takeda.

"Mi-okuri" (sending-off side) title: "Kessen Nagashinojyo"
This side of the float tells the story of the "Nagashino no tatakai" (Battle of Nagashino), which was fought between allied forces of Ieyasu Tokugawa and Nobunaga Oda against the troops of Katsuyori Takeda.
