If there is something you want to do, Do it and regret!

ab:What is you favorite comic?
Hanamura: In comics, I like “Hyakkiyakoushou” written by “Ichiko Ichi” the story of this book is very interesting which is about the other world and this world. Sometimes my favorite cartoonist change in me depends on my feelings.
ab:Did you have anybody who had you an effect?
Hanamura:In novel, a lot of novelists have influenced me so much for example, old novel for girls written by “Nobuko Yoshiya”. When I was little child, we still didn’t have any books because of the war of course, there was no books which is lovely. We just have kind of rough papers printing mimeograph drawn the girl who has red cheek and wearing the headband of the sun- flag. This kind of pictures was expressing militarism of Japan. I didn’t like this kind of pictures because most of these kinds of books are based on militarism. One of my friends who is older than me, she lent me lots of novels written by “Nobuko Yoshida” or “ Yasunari Kawabata” or “Junichi Nakahara”. And I liked the illustration of these books. They influenced me so much. We don’t see a lot of books at that time so I like making new original stories.
ab:What is your favorite motto?
Hanamura:Here is the proverb I love "If there is something you want to do, Do it and regret!"
I think we have to more respect our cultures.
ab:Please give the message youth who reads asian beat.
Hanamura:I guess the most of the Asian countries are going to develop right now, various kinds of cultures are going to come in Japan, while I think it’s very important to protect our own culture at the same time, we have to learn something great from other culture. Japanese tends to take care of their classical culture ;example “Kabuki” , however in architect of Japan, most of the Japanese designer have been turning the way to construct the buildings to the way of the western style. I think we have to more respect our cultures. Needles to say, the countries are recieving the way of the western culture, which are growing from now on and we should accept good point of other culture while we have to take care of our own culture.

Wherever we live, even in the forign countries, we have same feelings in any situation so I wish peolple in the world try to live in friendship more. and I want to tell them the Japanese have such great personality because they have so much humanity and their heart is so deep. I think Japanese ways would be a good model for people in forighn countries.
