#34 First Interview with Hello! Pro Rising Stars, CAMELLIA FACTORY – Taking to the Stage in Lolita Fashion!(2/3)

Kisora Niinuma In 6th grade of elementary school, I went through a bit of a lolita fashion phase. I never actually wore any lolita clothes, but I would go to the shops and look around at everything. So I’m thrilled that I get to wear these outfits for this performance. When I tried them on, though, I changed. They were cute, they got me excited and made me want to learn more and try on more clothes.
Yumeno Kishimoto I’m usually quite an energetic person, but when I put on lolita clothes, it changed the way I felt and made me want to tone it down a bit and act a little more prim and proper.
Ami Tanimoto I also felt like I became a different person when I tried on the clothes. And the brand is from Hokkaido, just like me, so it felt like fate. I haven’t had much of a chance to wear skirts lately, but I think billowy skirts are cute too now after trying them on.
Kiki Asakura This was the first time that I got to wear or even see lolita clothes up close. I’m a lot more into now after learning about the color shades and materials.
What has changed for the girls since joining Hello! Project? I put the question to them directly.
Kishimoto People around me look at me more now. With more people watching I have to push myself even harder.
Riko Yamagishi I was really happy when I got to stand on stage as CAMELLIA FACTORY wearing the same outfit as the other senior girls at Harokon (a concert performed by all the Hello! Project groups in spring and summer each year). It sunk in then that I had actually become a member of Hello! Project. Singing, dancing and standing on stage with all the other senior girls was just the best feeling.
Risa Ogata I have a lot more opportunity to speak with all the other Hello! Project girls now. I’ve been a huge fan of Hello! Pro for a long time, so I’m really happy in that regard, but at the same time, I get embarrassed whenever I speak with them, so I still feel nervous in the green room or walking through the hallways.
