"FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST EXHIBITION" at the Kitakyushu Manga Museum!

An array of hand-drawn drafts and colorful illustrations!

The unique, action-packed world depicted in "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" is filled with charming characters and evocative storylines! The title has gained many fans both at home and abroad. An exhibition of artwork featuring various aspects of the "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" world will go on display at the Kitakyushu Manga Museum from Saturday 13th October 2018! Visitors will be treated to over 200 precious hand-drawn drafts, as well as colorful illustrations that have appeared on the front of paperbacks and magazines!

PROFILE
荒川弘 (Hiromu ARAKAWA)
Born 8th May 1973 in Hokkaido. Debut work "STRAY DOGS" appeared in the monthly magazine "Shonen Gangan" (Square Enix) in 1999. The first series of "FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST" was a huge hit, going on to become one of "Shonen Gangan's" most famous works. The story was turned into an anime in 2003. The series has since been developed into movies and games, meaning that the title now has a presence in various forms of media. Was recognized in the Shōnen category at the 49th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2003.

- Venue: Kitakyushu Manga Museum Exhibition Room (5th Floor Aruaru City, 2-14-5 Asano, Kokurakita-ku, Kitakyushu-shi, Fukuoka-ken)
- Opening Hours: 11:00 to 19:00 (Admission until 18:30)
- Closed: Every Tuesday
- Organized by: Kitakyushu Manga Museum, The Asahi Shimbun Company
- In cooperation with: SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD., Fullmetal Alchemist Production Committee.
- Fees:
Standard-Adult: 1,000 yen (800yen) / High school and junior high school students: 500 yen (400yen) / Elementary school students: 250 yen (200 yen)
Including entrance to the permanent exhibition - Adult: 1,200 yen (960 yen) / High school and junior high school students: 600 yen (480 yen) / Elementary school students: 300 yen (240 yen)
*Price inside parentheses () applies to holders of the Kitakyushu Manga Museum annual pass, senior citizens that have the relevant identification (certificate to use the facility), and cost per person for group bookings of 30 or more visitors.
*Free admission for preschool children, and holders of a disability handbook, along with one accompanying person

· Paid visitors will receive a free bookmark designed Hiromu Arakawa.
[Each visitor will receive one bookmark as they enter the venue. A different design will be handed out on each day of the week (7 designs available). Collect the six designs available from Wednesday to Monday and receive a special bookmark created for the one day of the week when the museum is closed (Tuesday).]
· The "Havoc Zakkaten (Store)" will be selling goods and merchandise during the run of the exhibition.
