One of the 'Five Famous Swords of Japan,' "大典太" (Ōtenta) is set to be displayed in Kyushu for the first time!

侍 ~もののふの美の系譜~
Approximately 150 items, including historically significant swords and famous armor, are set to go on display at a special event called "侍 ~もののふの美の系譜~ The Exhibition of SAMURAI"! The event will take place at the Fukuoka City Museum and run from Saturday 7th September to Monday 4th November 2019.

The exhibition will feature famous Japanese swords such as "名物 圧切長谷部" [Heshikiri-Hasebe] (national treasure), which belongs to the museum collection, and "名物 日光一文字" [Nikko-Ichimonji] (national treasure). Various well-known swords that appear in the popular game "Touken Ranbu -ONLINE-" will also be exhibited! Visitors will also be able to take a closer look at "名物 骨喰藤四郎" [Honebami Toshirou] (important cultural property), "号 五虎退" [Gokotai] (important work of art), and "名物 大典太" [Ōtenta] (national treasure), which is known as one of the 'Five Swords of Japan!' "Ōtenta" is set to be displayed in Kyushu for the first time, so make sure to check it out!

The life-size "touken danshi" panels will also be well worth a look! The event has also collaborated with "Touken Ranbu" to create some exciting merchandise, which will be available inside the venue!
