Vocaloid Cosplayer Diary ~Caruto~(4/9)

We finally made it to the shrine. I was rather impressed by all the huge trees.

I was told that if you touch a particular part of this bull statue, that part of your own body is restored to health. I touched multiple parts of the statue but I haven’t noticed any difference.

The size of the trees in this area was really incredible.

We also saw some huge carp fish.

There was a person standing off to the side not moving at all so at first I thought it was a statue of some sort (lol). Here you are supposed to throw money and say a prayer but I didn’t know the proper way of doing things so I didn’t end up saying a prayer…

I also did “omikuji.” I got the “relatively lucky” fortune.

I bought an “ema” (wooden board which you write a wish on) from the shrine maiden to offer to the shrine. For my wish I wrote, “Victorious Life!” I had to laugh when I looked around at what other people wrote and saw things like “World Peace.”

I just thought it was a very worldly vision as opposed to all the personal wishes and wishes for passing exams and such that all students leave behind. I also had a look at what Kaname wrote on his “ema” and saw “I want to become a 2D character” lol.

This tree was so big it made the people around it seem so insignificant.

Snacking on “umagaemochi.” They were really good.

I also bought “cha” (tea) soba. I’m used to eating regular soba in Korea but this was a new experience for me.

Bomuson-san helped out with interpreting for the day.

For dessert we had these “umagaemochi”- sweet and tasty.

For lunch we ate at “Kasa no Ie” (House of Umbrellas). Speaking of umbrellas though, I forgot mine in the morning and had to go back and get it.
