The music video production was carried out at the same time, but what should we do when there is not enough budget and time? Despite this troubling issue, Kiyokawa Shinya, who made the video for the 5th anniversary of "Fukuoka Music Month", agreed with the purpose and came up with an interesting idea ― filming with smartphone. In this way, viewers might feel like getting close to the people in the video. By the action of "inviting" everyone to sing together, it created a sense of unity between the performers and viewers, and also made it possible to keep the budget down.

After we had gone through all these, the song and music video were finally completed at the last minute when August was about to end. Since its first release at the opening live on 1st September, I'm happy to say that we have received good response on YouTube and other streaming sites, and the song has been played on the TV and radio frequently. Although "Beat goes on" started with many uncertainties and worries, it seems like we have been well rewarded.

PROFILE

Fukamachi Kenjiro / 深町健二郎
Music producer

Born in Fukuoka City in 1961. Fell in love with music at age 9. In his university days, formed "ネルソープ" (Nelthorpe) with Tani Nobuo, the guitarist from TH eROCKERS, after the band where Jinnai Takanori (from Fukuoka) belonged with disbanded. He then got a job at a travel agency in Fukuoka and began to involve in the organization of concert tours and music events, and worked as an event producer since the preparatory stage for the opening of Solaria Plaza. He was also in charge of the production for collaborative events by artists, musicians and dancers from Fukuoka, as well as for the SunSet Live that has been held in Itoshima since 1998, while being MC at the same time. He has so far participated in numerous TV shows, and is currently active as a writer, music producer in his hometown Fukuoka.
