HIKOSAN ZERO GŌME KITCHEN is a restaurant at Michi-no-Eki Kanyuusha Hikosan which provides a variety of local taste from the Mt. Hiko area (Soeda-machi, Tagawa District, Fukuoka Prefecture). Since the opening, their most popular dish has been "Hiko-mabushi", a hearty set meal served with assorted tempura (fried vegetables, big prawn, fish, squid, etc.), as well as rice in Ohitsu and a bowl of pork soup with rich ingredients! In addition, it comes with a special sauce and Tencha (broth) so you can enjoy eating in 3 different ways - Tempura, Tendon, and Ten-chazuke! Here at the Michi-noeki (roadside station), you will find lots of fresh vegetables and seasonal fruits harvested in the suburbs of Soeda-machi, yuzu pepper (pasty condiment) made from local yuzu, Shiitake mushroom tsukudani (boiled in soy sauce), as well as a wide variety of handmade products.
