Happy new year! The world remains in a difficult state due to the increasing COVID-19 cases, I wonder how is everyone doing? This year, I'd like to do many things to enjoy Lolita fashion at home, such as doing "home Lolita" or "remote tea party". Last January, I spent my new year's eve participating an event in China. The world has changed a lot in a year, but I want to move forward in a positive way, and I hope to go abroad again to continue the "cultural diplomacy" of Lolita fashion. Both of my jobs as a nurse and as a model are unable to work remotely, but I'm taking precautions against the virus at work. Although I couldn't spend my new year's day abroad, I had a relaxing time watching the Kōhaku (music show in Japan) and eating Osechi (traditional Japanese New Year’s dish).

This time, I'd like to talk about Classic Lolita, which I've been addicted to recently. At the end of last year, there was a shooting and a fashion show with Innocent World in Osaka. Innocent World is one of the leading brands of Classic Lolita, and I'm obsessed with Classical for the past two years.

It's the adult-look Lolita style that comes in pale colours and long dresses! As I'm in my late 30s, I prefer Classic Lolita than Sweet Lolita styles. Out of many different genres in Lolita fashion, I'd recommend Classic Lolita for beginners, as the styles usually come in pale colours and with laces, not too fancy or noticeable. The long dresses are recommended for adult beginners too. Besides myself, Fukasawa Midori, Kurosaki Maon and Sato Sumire modelled for the shooting and fashion show together. Everyone has their own recommended colour, and I always go for pink even after years of modelling. Since it's one of my favourite colours, I'd like to wear it more this year without worrying about my age!

There're many Classic Lolita styles that are suitable for afternoon tea at hotels. Despite the ongoing pandemic, let's stay positive and continue to enjoy Lolita fashion!
