One of the world's biggest fighting game tournaments, "EVO," finally hits Fukuoka!

EVO Japan 2019
The "Evolution Championship Series (a.k.a. Evo)" spin-off competition "EVO Japan" began in Tokyo last year. The event has absorbed the fundamental ideals of EVO, which takes place in the United States and is one the biggest fighting game contests in the world. "EVO Japan 2019" will be held across three days, from Friday 15th February to Sunday 17th February, at the Fukuoka Kokusai Center! Anyone over the age of 13 can enter this Open Tournament. The six titles that will be featured in the main event are "TEKKEN 7," "BLAZBLUE CROSS TAG BATTLE," "SOULCALIBUR VI," "THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIV," "STREET FIGHTER V ARCADE EDITION," and "GUILTY GEAR Xrd REV 2!" Gamers can enter the competition via the official website up until Thursday 31st January! (Free registration)

Visitors will be able to watch the qualifying rounds, which are scheduled to take place on Friday 15th and Saturday 16th February, for free! Don't forget... Everyone other than the gamers still left in the competition will be charged on Sunday 17th, which is when the finals are scheduled to take place (*Tickets required)! This is the first time that Fukuoka will host this major international gaming contest!

Don't miss the chance to watch top gamers in action! There will be lots of awesome techniques and great gameplay on display throughout! There's no doubt that the atmosphere inside the venue will also be incredible! The event is just round the corner! Make sure to check-out the official website if you are interested in attending as a competitor or a spectator! (Editorial Dept.: Gon)
