When you come out of the tunnel, you are greeted by the immensely impressive 160m long and 80m wide building that is Kyuhaku! The highest part of the building is 36m tall and features a characteristically sleek and stylish roof that was designed to harmonize with the mountainous surroundings. The "double-skin" glass exterior of the building reflects the surrounding forests and helps the museum blend into its natural surroundings.
