Attending a tea party with lolitas from Hong Kong!

I am so grateful that I get the chance to go to China almost every month! Seeing lolita fashion so popular over there really fills me with joy! Luckily, I was able to visit again this October! There is a long holiday in China during early October. A lot of events are held at this kind of time, so just like last year, I decided to head across and tour around a few places! My week long schedule saw me take in Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong! Oh by the way, during some free time in Hong Kong I managed to stop by Disneyland!

The event in Shanghai was held across two days! All the major Japanese brands were present at the main "HELLO LOLITA" event, which also included a special signing session. To tell the truth, I felt a little bit nervous walking the runway at such a grand venue! A lot of models who are active with KERA made an appearance at the event! This was the first time that "HELLO LOLITA" has been held. It was a wonderful event that provided visitors with the opportunity to order clothes, and see Japanese lolita fashion up close!

When the show was finished I travelled across to Shenzhen by myself on a two hour domestic flight. While I was there I gave a talk about make-up and appeared in a live broadcast. I also appeared in signing session and took photographs with the guests. So far I have been to over 15 cities in China, and this was the second time that I have visited Shenzhen! As the fourth biggest city in China (behind Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou), it is an area that is currently gaining a lot of attention. There are a lot of lolita fashion fans in Shenzhen, and many more throughout the whole of China!

It is just a one hour drive to Hong Kong from Shenzhen! During some free time, I got the chance to visit Disneyland, which was so much fun! I was really keen to try the Disney-inspired dim sum inside the park's restaurant! So we held a tea party there with lolitas from Hong Kong. On the next day, I got the chance to go around and explore the theme park dressed in a lolita outfit. It was such a great experience! On the day, I wore Snow White inspired lolita garments from the brand "BABY,THE STARS SHINE BRIGHT." I also got to meet a real princess, interact with lots of Disney characters, and even take a ride in a carriage! It was incredibly fun! The waiting times were not quite as long as Tokyo Disneyland, so I was able to do a lot in just one day!

There are many lolita fashion enthusiasts who love Disney. We are always talking about it with each other, it's so much fun!! It's something that happens wherever I go! I love Tokyo Disneyland and Disney Sea so much! I even have a year-long season ticket! Lolita fashion and the atmosphere around Disneyland go together perfectly. I think the photographs you take while you are there almost look like paintings! I finished my trip to China safe and sound. It was such a fantastic trip!

Recently, I received a lot of messages about my appearance on the Fuji Television program "Seven Rules" on October 3! I spoke about my own seven rules! The TV crew focused on what's going on in the world of lolita fashion! I was so surprised to experience TV's wide influence! I also got a lot of responses from people who aren't so familiar with lolita fashion! In addition, I'm so grateful to have been able to continue writing this column for over two years. Looking forward, I really hope to continue promoting cultural exchange through lolita fashion!
