"Beat goes on" ― An unintentional murmur eventually became the song title!
Then we came to face a question: who will be making the theme song? We were almost out of budget in the first place, and time's just passing by after having so many meetings with the members. Suddenly, Toda Seiji (sound engineer) broke the silence and asked, "How about Matsukuma Kenta?" Debuted as a member of the rock band, Buzz72+, Matsukuma moved to Fukuoka two years ago when he achieved great success after writing songs to Shibasaki Ko and Nakagawa Shoko, as well as involved in the sound production for BiSH. Isn't he the perfect person to write a song that represents the soul of Fukuoka? Fortunately, he agreed to it and said, "Let's do it!"

We actually didn't have much time for the songwriting so we held a meeting. Surprisingly, the song title "Beat goes on" was decided immediately. It happened to be an unintentional murmur from one of the members, the producer of Music City Tenjin, Matsuo "Midnight" Shinya, and I thought that's a great idea. Not only that it matches the idea of keep Fukuoka's music going on, but also brings out the main feature of Mentai Rock ― "beat". Matsukuma then began the songwriting and it was only less than two months before the release.
